Dr. Newpol provides individual (adolescent, adult, geriatric) and couples’ therapy utilizing cognitive-behavioral theories within a solution-focused framework. This allows for some relief to happen quickly. Exposure therapy is provided for issues such as post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and phobias.
Clinical issues of focus include depression, anxiety, panic, grief, PTSD, phobias, hoarding, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), care giver stress, career counseling, eating disorders in adult women, substance abuse, trichotillomania, infertility, gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered (GLBTQQIAAP) issues, and neuropsychological (head injury, dementias, amnesia, etc.).
Dr. Newpol greatly enjoys helping people with career issues, as she made a major career change from electrical engineer to psychologist almost 20 years ago.
